I am allergy to steroid anti fungal and anti bacterial vaginal creams. I used candid v gel and sodium fucidin cream which caused inflammation in my vaginal area. I stopped using the creams. Since itching is still present can I get suggestions for any non steroid cream which will not cause allergy to my skin.

You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs, groin and buttocks area. It is also called jock itch. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, dermi5, cloben g betnovate, dermikem oc, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid containing combination creams. Please contact me using online consult option with photos for detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and also to other people living in the household.

I'm having vaginal fungal infections for almost year. Tried candid powder, luliconazole for a long time. But there is no improvement. Recently I had very unbearable itching and burning sensation, couldn't even sleep well. Then I got micogel f (miconazole nitrate 2% + fluocinolone acetonide 0.1%)from a nearby pharmacy. Im using it now for two weeks, the symptoms is almost gone. But I have a doubt whether is it causes any side effects and how long should it be used so that the infection won't reoccur again. Kindly advice me on the usage of this ointment.

Do NOT worry. Your symptoms improved. However, there is small chance of recurrence. Maintain hygiene. Use clean cotton undergarment. Do NOT use ordinary soaps in private areas.

It can be jock itch/fungal infection. I need details of case n preferably pics of affected area. In the meanwhile follow this Wash the affected skin two to three times a day. Keep the affected area dry. Avoid excess affected skin irritation by wearing 100% cotton underwear. Avoid fabric softeners, bleaches, or harsh laundry detergents. Wash your workout clothes, underwear, socks, and towels after each use. Keep your affected area, inner thighs, and buttocks clean and dry, especially after you exercise and shower. After showering or bathing, dry the irritated affected area by gently patting it with a towel. Be sure to dry your skin thoroughly. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in two cups of warm water. Wash the infected area with this solution and allow it to dry on its own. Another option is to apply a mixture of equal parts of white vinegar and coconut oil on the affected skin. Like hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol can help kill off the fungus that's on the surface level of the skin. You can apply it directly to the affected area Listerine: It has antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial properties, which help treat skin problem Here are some tips to help you manage the infection: Avoid using oily skin products. Reduce your exposure to the sun. Exposure to the sun may trigger or worsen an episode, Do not wear tight clothing. Wear breathable fabrics, such as cotton, to decrease sweating. For this homeopathic treatment is very effective For more details you can consult me.

Fungal infection or Ring worm.. when occurs in groin, called as jock itch.. Usually fungal infection is common in moist areas of body like skin folds..It's mostly circular or round in appearance.. May be red or black in colour.. Treatment depending on the type and severity.. Avoid sharing clothes, towels and soap; sweating also increases it..As it has to be differentiated from eczema and infection, its a must to see and confirm the diagnosis for proper treatment..So, please send photos of the affected area by direct online consultation for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

I was given treatment for fungal infection fluconazole, inserted suppository and applied candid cream but the burning itching and tender feeling of vulva did not stop. I’ve gone through treatment for bacterial vaginosis but itching and burning of vulva still persists. My skin is now very sensitive i’ve used apple cider vinegar to cool down the vagina from the burning and itching. My gynaecologist will probably keep saying it’s a fungal infection but I know it’s not because all fungal infection medication I have taken them as prescribed.
