Advent 625mg Tablet Side Effect

Hi Sir, Sad to know that the query was mis-interpreted. I took Thioridazine for 10 long years 1987-1997 w/o any side effects & that too at a high dosage viz 200 mg for Schizophrenia. After the advent of newer drugs it was stopped, but took 25 mg 1-1-1 as a tranquilizer for some time and had to be stopped because my psychiatrist felt that it had many side effects. That is several years ago. I have got a curious question now as I wish to re-induct it solely as a tranquilizer, as Fluanxol and Sizopin are already taking care of my illness. Now there is plenty of talk reg this drug, like, it disturbs the heart rhythm, therefore, it is not freely prescribed now. It is supposed to elongate the QT interval and cause tourette de point. If the above side effects are true, confirm whether to start on it or go for something else. Kindly answer this question as early as possible. Thanks.

Ya in some cases It happens. in your case it may or may not be. It can be decided only after start of the medication with regular follow up & check up but be aware in addition to this. add counselling and psychotherapy. Thioridazine cause erectile time prolong so beware of it. Change medication and add psychotherapy so less medication will be required.

Treatment for infantile hemangiomas should be individualized depending upon the size, location, presence of complications, potential for scarring, the age of the patient, the rate of growth or involution at the time of evaluation, the potential risks and benefits of treatment. Treatment is usually required for complicated hemangiomas that may interfere with a vital structure or function and for lesions at increased risk of ulceration, scarring, and disfigurement. Masterly active nonintervention for uncomplicated hemangiomas that are not disfiguring. Active nonintervention requires regular monitoring of the lesion. Some have tried topical beta blocker like timol for anxious parents, who respond but stopping the treatment may have some rebound effect. Oral propranolol is the first-line agent for the treatment of complicated hemangiomas with the potential to impair function or cause disfigurement eg, periorbital hemangiomas. Systemic steroids, vincristine, and interferon alfa are alternative agents for aggressive hemangiomas but are rarely needed since the advent of propranolol. Children with periorbital hemangiomas should be evaluated by an ophthalmologist. Oral propranolol in addition to dressings and appropriate painkillers for the treatment of ulcerated hemangiomas that may cause permanent disfigurement, interfere with daily life activities, or do not respond to dressings. I will not feel to good. Because my hair is quickly losing and they have effect on my placement and personality.
There could be various causes for hair fall. Finding the cause is the first step towards treatment. 1.Nutritional deficiency: Lack of essential nutrients like iron, biotin, protein, vitamin D3 etc. In diet. People often claim to be very cautious and putting in every effort to eat healthy, but till the time one has these things in one’s kitchen - cooker, fridge and oven, one claim to be having nutritious diet falls flat since 87% of the nutrition is killed in food cooked in cooker. Similarly microwaves are strong enough to kill the nutrition in diet. Now did you realize why, almost everybody is having hair fall, dark circles, early whitening of hair, fatigue etc. Chloroflorocarbons are supposed to be very dangerous for one’s health. These harmful gases are continuously emitted in the fridge. We keep food under these harmful gases and then consume them. Worst, after doing this day in and out we claim to be eating healthy. SOLUTION: Add raw uncooked food to diet-sprouts, amla (Indian Gooseberry), almonds, dates, milk, soya, curd, lassi, gud (darker the gud better it is, whiter the gud bad it is) etc. Take biotin supplements for three months after dermatologist prescription. Get serum ferritin levels checked. In case they turn out to be less than 40 ng/dl, one is deficient in iron. Remember despite hemoglobin levels being normal one can have hair fall secondary to iron deficiency. Hemoglobin is the measure of iron in blood circulation, ferritin is the amount of iron stores in body. If they are less, iron deficiency induced hair fall would occur. 2.Hormonal imbalance: Various hormonal imbalances can lead to hair fall. Both, excess or less thyroid levels leads to hair fall. Get TSH, T3 AND T4 levels checked. Polycystic ovarian disease: Excess of various hormones – Prolactin, FH, LSH, free testosterone, Insulin etc. Leads to conglomeration of hair fall, obesity, acne, and irregular periods. SOLUTION: A thorough checkup of all hormones and hormonal treatment balances the situation. 3.Androgenic Alopecia: It occurs due to hormone named testosterone. Here the amount of hormone is normal but the hair strands are sensitized to the hormone. Sensitized hair first gets thinned out and finally dies permanently. However it follows different pattern in male and females. Male: Males start losing hair at the both the frontal corners. Slowly the hair line recedes backwards. Female: there is overall thinning of hair and widening of central partition. However there is no balding in women ever. Cheer up ladies! SOLUTION: Minoxidil 5% solution applied over scalp every night on dermatologist prescription would help further regression of hair. 4.Chemical and heat damage: Advent of new era of hair treatments like rebonding, colouring, straightening comes with sure shot way to damaged hair. SOLUTION: If you are fond of these treatments, get them only at the lower part of hair and never ever at the hair roots near scalp. Thus, one can prevent damage up to a great extent. 5.Stress: Stress releases various bunch of hormones which are bad for hair and skin. SOLUTION: Resolve to take ten minutes off for pranayama (deep breathing exercises and meditation, travel to offbeat destinations, make time for your hobbies, write down your worries: it’s a great way to let all the bad emotions out which may be stifling inside making you uneasy.) 6.Recent illness: Any serious episode of illness, typhoid, malaria, surgery, hepatitis etc. Will lead to severe hair fall three months after the illness. And not during or immediately after the illness. 7.Post pregnancy: A women gets amazing hair throughout pregnancy because of surge in estrogen hormone. Immediately post-delivery, she suffers from severe hair fall that’s because of sudden withdrawal of hormones. This hairfall lasts for 6 to 18 months. Nothing to panic, it all get normal in due course of time. 8.Crash dieting: Fad for size zero compels many to opt for crash dieting .It severely affects there nutritional supply leading to hair fall. SOLUTION: Popping up multivitamin pills to make up for the loss and gorging on healthy diet is the way out. Hope this helped you figure out your cause for hair fall.

Epilepsy is an abnormal medical condition due to abnormal electrical discharge from the brain, which could be due to genetic defects, brain injury, brain infection, brain tumor etc. Recent study shows, patients with awareness, knowledge and attitude towards the disease had better health related quality of life. Do’s Do take your medicines at the prescribed times. Do make it known to your family members, friends and people who work with you that you are seizure-prone. Tell them what should be done in case you get an attack in their presence. This is nothing to be ashamed of as epilepsy is a medical condition just like high blood pressure. If your child has epilepsy, do inform the teacher and the school authorities about it. Do tell your child's teacher what to do if your child has a seizure. Do keep an accurate record of your seizures and their frequency. Preferably, maintain a seizure diary. Do ask your doctor about medicines for other conditions before taking them. Do follow a balanced diet. Do exercise regularly but avoid over-exertion. Do have good lighting in the room where you watch TV. TV picture flashes can trigger seizures. Good lighting can prevent such attacks. Do tell someone if you are going for a swim; swim only if your seizures are under control. Moreover, whenever possible, go swimming with a friend. Do talk to your doctor about the pros and cons of using contraceptive pills (medicines used by women to avoid unwanted pregnancy) along with your epilepsy medicines. Do wear protective headgear when cycling. Do tell your doctor about any ill effects that you experience. Do get a good night's sleep daily. Do make sure you have enough medicine so that you don't run short, even when you are travelling. Do check-in with your doctor regularly. Don’ts Don't stop your treatment unless your doctor tells you to. Don't consume caffeine or alcohol excessively. Don't take other medicines without checking with your doctor. Don't lock the bathroom/toilet door, if possible. Don't smoke. Don't give others your medicines and don't take anyone else's medicines. Underarm excessive sweating, also called axillary hyperhidrosis is an uncontrollable, annoying, embarrassing, and isolating problem (to say the least). From the discomfort of sweat running down your sides, to the embarrassment of obvious sweat stains, to the fear of being "discovered, uncontrollable underarm sweating can feel like it's ruining your life. But there is good news: Safe treatments for excessive sweating are available, the treatments work, and you have a number of options to choose from--or combine. The first line-of-defense against excessive underarm sweating are antiperspirants. Antiperspirants are non-invasive, topical (applied on top of your skin), and available in a number of different strengths including "regular" over-the-counter products, "clinical strength" over-the-counter products, and perhaps even prescription antiperspirants. Most physicians recommend that you start with the mildest formulations ("regular" over-the-counter products) and if they don't give enough symptom relief, work your way up to the stronger clinical strength formulations and then, perhaps prescription antiperspirants. The recent advent of clinical strength antiperspirants such as Certain Dri and Secret Clinical have been shown to provide the same level of sweat management as prescription products, but with much less irritation. We are glad to see these new, and greatly improved, formulations on the drugstore shelves and easily available to everyone. How you use antiperspirants is also incredibly important. Check out our information available about this, but the most important take-aways are: 1. Apply antiperspirants at night before bed and 2. Apply to totally dry skin to avoid irritation. A wonderful addition to the wardrobe of anyone with underarm sweating (excessive or not!) are absorbent undershirts, absorbent tee shirts, absorbent dress shirts, and absorbent underarm pads. You can nab a sweet coupon for them in our Fan Faves page. Another new and innovative addition to our treatment options, miraDry, is a completely different type of approach to eliminating axillary hyperhidrosis (underarm excessive sweating) and was cleared by the US FDA in January 2011. This is the first novel treatment option approved by the US governing body in nearly 7 years! As of April 2012, clinical data from two study sites affiliated with the University of British Columbia showed miraDry successful in reducing underarm sweat in over 90% of patients through the final study visit that was 12 months after treatment. The average sweat reduction was 82%. And, patients rated their satisfaction with the treatment at 90%. MiraDry has been developed by Miramar Labs of Sunnyvale, California. While miraDry is promising news for those who suffer with underarm sweating, it cannot be used to treat excessive sweating in any other area--yet. (we have high hopes!) Read the research findings, and understand the procedure for miraDry here. If antiperspirants don't give you the relief you need and miraDry is not in your budget, your next option may be Botox (also known as onabotulinumtoxinA). An experienced medical professional can inject Botox into your underarms to dramatically reduce sweating. In one clinical study involving 322 patients with severe underarm sweating, 81% of the patients receiving injections achieved more than 50% reduction in sweating. And, 50% of the patients had their excessive sweating relieved for at least 201 days (nearly 7 months). Some, for over a year! The use of miraDry and Botox for the treatment of hyperhidrosis is most effective when performed by a physician who has received special training and who has experience with the procedure. To find a physician in your area who is familiar with hyperhidrosis treatments, use our Physician Finder and search for those who have the notation 'IHHS-Educated' While nearly all people find that antiperspirants, Botox injections, miraDry or a combination of these hyperhidrosis treatments are enough to manage even the most severe case of excessive sweating in the underarms, there are those who seek a surgical approach to treat their axillary hyperhidrosis. Underarm surgery techniques include: excision, curettage, liposuction, and laser. During excision, sweat glands may be cut out. Similarly, during curettage they may be scraped out. During liposuction they may be removed by suction. Using lasers, tissue containing sweat glands is liquefied. Combinations of curettage and central excision, or of curettage and liposuction may be used, as well as combinations of liposuction and laser treatments. Dermatologists often have good results with these techniques. Each of these procedures can be done under local anesthesia (meaning that the patient is not completely "out") and in an office setting (as opposed to in a hospital setting). To learn more about these local surgical options for axillary (underarm) hyperhidrosis, click here. Please note that in most cases we do not recommend endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS) for excessive underarm sweating. While ETS is perhaps the most commonly discussed, (as well as criticized) surgery for hyperhidrosis, there are other, far less risky, and far more predictable, options for people who suffer from excessive sweating of the underarms. We hope that you'll find the information on this site helpful as you search for the best way to manage your underarm sweating problem. For updates about new research, the latest treatments, free treatment clinics, and daily management tips, be sure to sign-up to our News Blog. We also have an extensive library of hyperhidrosis articles from peer-reviewed medical journals, so you can see where we get our facts and can share reliable medical data with your healthcare provider.
