About Q 150mg Suspension

Q 150mg Suspension is used in the treatment of malaria, a disease which occurs as a result of mosquito bites. The disease occurs because of malaria parasites that enter the human body as a result of the mosquito bite. These parasites attack the liver and the red blood cells of the body.

This medicine is prescribed by doctors as it kills malaria parasites that invade the red blood cells. Thus, it is a part of a group of medicines which are known as antimalarials. It effectively treats malaria, but does not prevent the onset of the disease.

The drug should be taken as per the instructions given by a doctor. It is meant for oral consumption, and it is generally recommended that patients should take it along with food, so as to reduce the chances of a stomach upset.

This medication is generally prescribed for about 3-7 days and should be taken after every 8 hours. The dosage and time period of consumption of drug is usually dependent on the severity of your condition and the country you live in. In case of children the dosage is prescribed as per their weight.
