About Polyvinyl Alcohol (Including Pvp)

Polyvinyl Alcohol (Including Pvp) is mainly used to treat patients who suffer from dry eyes problem. It is a potent ophthalmic drug and is used as a stabilising agent for the eyes. It helps to lubricate the eyes and can often be used for the creation of artificial tears required for the improvement of dry eyes and for preparation of contact lens solutions. It may cause blurred vision, stinging or burning sensation of the eyes.

The dosage depends upon the medical history of the patient, health conditions and the response to the therapy.

The drug is contraindicated in patients who have suffered or are suffering from cardiac disorders, lungs or liver disorders or renal malfunctioning.
