About Migrest Tablet
This is a combination medication which has Flunarizine, Domperidone, and Paracetamol as active ingredients. Migrest tablet is a drug that is used to prevent migraine attacks. It is used to lower the frequency of the attacks and in some instances the severity. However, it should be noted that this medication should not be used for the treatment of an already occurring acute migraine attack. It is grouped under a category of non-selective drugs called calcium antagonist.

How does this medication work?
This medication works by blocking the influx of calcium inside the cells. It also blocks certain other specific neurotransmitters and caused relaxation of blood vessels. Domperidone attaches to the dopaminergic receptors without causing any release of the chemical dopamine. This, in turn, facilitates gastric emptying and decreases small bowel transit time. The drug is a pain relief medication that selectively inhibits enzyme function in the brain which allows it to treat pain and fever. It activates certain receptors in the brain that inhibit pain signals.
