This is a combination medication which has Bromelain, Diclofenac, Rutoside, and Trypsin Chymotrypsin as active ingredients. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of prostaglandins in the brain that cause pain and inflammation. This medication increases blood supply and makes the body produce substances that fight pain and swelling. Also, it is an antioxidant which protects the body from damage by free radicals and further reduces swelling.

This medication is usually taken between meals, to prevent it from meddling with the digestive system. You must stop taking this medication about two weeks before any surgery as it can potentially cause more bleeding.

This medication is a protease enzyme derived from the stems of pineapples. It selectively inhibits proinflammatory prostaglandin biosynthesis, is an analgesic, and displays anticancerous and pro-apoptotic properties. It is also considered to be a food supplement. Diclofenac inhibits an enzyme named Cyclooxygenase which is responsible for the formation of prostaglandin.
