The tablet is composed of Benfotiamine, Levo-carnitine, Resveratrol and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). Derived from thiamine, this medication is used as a dietary supplement. It helps to raise tissue and blood levels of thiamine, which then helps to protect the body from any medical conditions arising from low levels of thiamine such as heart and nerve disorders.

It has been observed that this drug may trigger an upset stomach and a decrease in blood pressure. Talk to your doctor to know the dosage of this medicine. Exercise caution if you are a pregnant or lactating women.

The drug is a lipid-based synthetic analogue of Thymine or Vitamin B1 with greater bioavailability than other Thiamine salts. It is dephosphorylated by ecto-alkaline phosphatases to S-benzoylthiamine in the intestinal mucosa, which is then hydrolyzed to thiamine by liver thioesterases. It is basically a supplement used for treating low level of carnitine in the blood. Carnitine is required by the body for energy and keeping the body in good health. People with kidney dialysis may have inadequate carnitine in the blood which might result liver, heart and muscle problems.
