CT angiogram reveals the areas where there is no proper blood supply to the heart. Any part of the body require nutrition and oxygen for its function. Nurtrition and oxygen to all parts of the body is supplied by the blood. As the heart is doing exercise that contraction and relaxation every second of day and night throughout your body, if it doesnot receive proper and sufficient amount of blood every second, heart stops functioning. You know what happens when heart stops functioning. CT angio is only indicative investigation. The correct investigation is angiogram. Then why they suggest CT angio is if the patient is unfit for procedures and its easy and cheaper comparatively. Changes in Echo and ECG has to be there as you say that her BP is uncontrolled. So go for regular checkups and follow up with the cardiologist will help in avoiding the complication of the high BP.
