Dengue Antigen NS1 Questions

My son got mild dengue positive and all reports are okay now with platelets 254 k. Only typhidot igm in today’s report came positive rest all parameters okay. Do you suggest to start any antibiotic at this stage or with few more days to keep a watch. No fever, or any other symptom seen like headache, loss of appetite etc. Pls suggest.

Dear lybrate-user, thanks for reaching out since your son's typhidot igm is positive you must get a professional opinion by physical / video consultation with me or any paediatrician at earliest and start antibiotics at recommend dosage and time. This is because if not treated properly now, he may develop severe complications in adulthood like ulcers in intestinal walls, obstruction of food passage, etc. Please don't take any such risk. Yes you can. Keep checking your platelets every week once it starts to rise and reach a normal level just stop taking medicines further focus on more fluid intake.

rice dal, khichdi Dalia, idali with chatani as sambhar is very spicy. light diet plenty of liquid ors nimbu pani coconut water buttermilk ors is much better than solid. fruits r better. peal off the fruit than eat.

as symptoms of fever appear Star pcm 650. at present use citrus fruits, papaya leaf juice, light diet plenty of liquid. platiza1-1 if platelet become low for five days. antibiotics when symptoms appear. REST. NO HEADBATH.

Denue is a disorder that varies in its severity on the basis of lab finding and pt clinical course so take proper consultation. You should have to add fluids that much yiu can drink and add coccunut water ors solution .take light foods avoid fast and fried foods .if there is more symptoms then immediately consult to the physician.

It remains n slowly go after 45 days or so. You can use dan Mr. two times a day after food for three to five days.

platelet count low. Every alternate day you need to go for platelet count. If it's upto 45 ,000 you can stay home with absolute bedrest. Treatment gudcef cv 200 two times a day after food for five days or till fever persist calpol 650 four times a day after food. Montek lc one at night for five days or more. Pan d one in empty stomach for seven days. Platiza tab three times a day after food for five days. (papaya base) to increase platelet. Home remedies plenty of citrus fruits lemon, kiwi, mausambi, gooseberry. Papaya leaf wash properly churn in collect juice, 10 ml three-time a day. U can add honey if non diabetic. Important watch for rash vomit or any g I symptoms. Plenty of water n liquids light diet.

This is not uncommon in dengue. Usually indicative of increased severity of disease maintaining fluids electrolytes balance is advisable follow your treating doctor advice else consultation is advisable.
