Due to an abnormally fast growth of cells at a particular place, accumulation of cells takes place. This is called Benign Tumor. a benign tumor is characterized by the formation of lumps, which in turn leads to symptoms such as chills, pain, weight-loss, fatigue, discomfort and fever. Unlike any other cancerous cells, these do not invade to the other parts of the body because they lack the property of movement. Benign tumors are usually treated through surgical procedures.

If the tumor is close to the skin, it can be felt by touch.
