About Betnovate-C Cream

Betnovate-C Cream is used for treating Bacterial and Fungal infections of the skin. Sometimes, it is prescribed to treat inflammatory skin conditions and relieve the related symptoms like swelling, itching and redness.

Betnovate C comprises of major constituents as Betamethasone and Clioquinol, belonging to the class of glucocorticoid and anti-amoebic respectively. It is used for treating several skin disorders such as psoriasis and dermatitis and other allergic skin conditions.

This cream gets absorbed into the skin and enters the blood. The drug helps in the reduction of inflammation by modification of the immune response of the body to various conditions. Betnovate C has minimum mineralocorticoid action as it is a potent glucocorticoid.

This cream inhibits the migration of leukocytes and decreases inflammation by reducing the permeability of capillaries and makes them resistant to prostaglandins and other inflammatory mediators.

Also it prevents the growth and multiplication of moth bacteria and fungi, due to the presence of antifungal drug Clioquinol in the composition.
