Hysteroscopy is basically a procedure in which a doctor would check your uterus for diagnosing various kinds of heath issues like abnormal bleeding, absence of bleeding or even signs of other infections and problems in the uterus. Hysteroscopy Treatment is done using a hysteroscope. This is basically a thin, lighted tube, which would be inserted into the vagina. Once this is done then the examination of the cervix and inside of the uterus is done. There are two main procedures of Hysteroscopy, which are diagnostic or operative. A Gynaecologist would manoeuvre this process as per the symptoms defined.
The diagnostic hysteroscopy is done first to understand the problem or root cause of illness or disease. The doctor would then undertake the hysteroscopy surgery to treat the same. This can usually take about 45 minutes to an hour or as per the complication involved. Since smaller instruments are used here the process doesn't require very long stay at the hospital. Hysteroscopy recovery is not a very long process and after the surgery you would note that all other signs of discomfort associated with the bleeding are gone. Reduced bleeding, regularisation of menstrual flow, reductions in swelling, etc. are some of the benefits that you get. Most women are able to resume regular healthy lives post the surgery. Recuperation takes a few days and you can also get back to exercising.
