Death only occurs if any person consumes all the tablet at one sitting and if her vital parameters are maintained and if she is having proper sleep than its okay if she takes it.

I am 37 years old unmarried. I have hypothyroidism, taking eltroxin 25 mcg on daily. Recently I started to take sea kelp supplement. I feel no fatigue, no hot flashes, no weakness after taking iodine supplements. I am having regular period. In last 3 month I got just 3-7 days period late but regular. This time I got period before 12 days. Is it normal or any health issue?

Hello, I had discoloration in my tongue for which my doctor prescribed iodine. I did not follow instructions. I gargled the iodine thinking that was the correct way to use it. Now my mouth is purple. My tongue is purple and my gums too. Am I in danger? How can I remove it? I think its gentian iodine violet solution.

You need to see your dentist as soon as possible and tell everything about your present problem. There is nothing to be worried about as the stains of iodine are temporary and will go in a couple of days.

My father in law has undergone neck operation for removing a lump? Operation has been successful, but doctor has told him to take food which does not contain Iodine. Please . Provide list of food which does not have iodine.

Some foods that contain iodine that you'll probably want to avoid are Iodized salt, sea salt and salty foods. ... All dairy products (milk, sour cream, cheese, cream, yoghurt, butter, ice cream) Margarine. Egg yolks.FOODS THAT ARE OK Non-iodized salt may be used as desired Egg whites Homemade bread made with non-iodized salt and oil (not soy!) instead of butter or milk or commercially-baked breads which do not contain iodate dough conditioners, dairy, or eggs Fresh fruits and vegetables Frozen vegetables Grain, cereal products and pasta without high iodine ingredients Canned fruit Natural unsalted nuts and nut butters (peanut, almond, etc) Sodas, beer, wine, lemonade, fruit juices Coffee or tea. But remember, no milk or cream and no soy-based non-dairy creamer! Popcorn popped in vegetable oil or air popped, with non-iodized salt Black pepper, fresh or dried herbs and spices, all vegetable oils Sugar, jam, jelly, honey maple syrup Matzoh crackers ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES Avoid restaurant foods since there is no reasonable way to determine which restaurants use iodized salt. Hi, If iodine intake is essential and if most of the common salt producers add iodine to the salt which will prevent iodine deficiency how is that hypothyroidism is so prevalent with women? There must be something more to it. Please advise.

Iodized salt does not work and do more harm than good. One should eat natural rock salt. Hypothyroidism has other causes as well. It is a hormonal imbalance which can be caused due to wrong lifestyle and food habits.
