Lybrate-user you have to understand, if a toothpaste is so effective in treating sensitivity, then our service is meaningless you have to visit to your dentist where he can check for reason of your sensitivity few of them can be as 1) periodontitis 2) cervical abrasion 3) developing caries 4) vertical fracture 5) atrission 6) failed restoration 7) fracture restoration 8) leaking restoration 9) periodontal pocket or a lot more none of the med can cover all of them I am tell you with due respect by taking med. And toothpaste you are just giving time to you disease to become worse and worse self medication is very dangerous and is not prescribed by any govt or health agency in the word.

Try thermoseal ra toothpaste for one month. Rub gently on sensitive area wait for 5 minutes and then rinse. If you cant get relief then you need to go for laminating or veneering. Sometimes enamel layer of teeth get eroded because of bruxism, hard brushing, age, and after an orthodontic treatment. Avoid too much cold food like icecream till the symptoms subsides.

for cavities pastes do not help but avoidance of food [rice particle to chocolate] helps, but does not cure. U require fillings to RCTs depending on the severity / depth opf the cavity.

Change the paste. Use colgate sensitive pro-relief toothpaste and mouthwash. If the problem persist, you can visit a dentist. The dentist can either filled the sensitive areas if possible or apply desensitizing agent.

Visit a dentist to find out the cause of the sensitivity. If the case if very severe, using a simple over-the-counter toothpaste will not be enough. A suitable treatment must be undertaken followed up by maintenance using an anti sensitivity paste.
