Firstly there's no lifelong cure for the common cold. Antibiotics are only effective against infections of throat and are of no use against cold viruses. Over-the-counter (otc) cold preparations won't cure a common cold or make it go away any sooner, and most have side effects. A saltwater gargle 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2tsp turmeric dissolved in a glass of warm water can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat. To help relieve nasal congestion, try saline (pure salt water) nasal drops. If you have a throat infection, or a viral cold then I will prescribe appropriate meds based on your detailed assessment. Take arsenic 30 QID (4 pills 4 hrly 4 times a day) n bell 200 QID ((4 pills 4 hrly 4 times a day). You must keep temperature result also for fever. Drink warm water n avoid work, dust, rice n heavy food. It will increase your fever.

xray chest, cbc esr and sputum afb and PFT to know cause. Avoid dust, smoke, pollution and allergens.

1. Do Warm saline gurgling and steam inhalation with karvol plus inhalant capsule 2-3 times daily. 2.put otrivin nasal drop one drop thrice daily. 3.Take Viscodyne D syrup 2 tsf 2-3 times daily 4. If no relief, you have to take antibiotic. 5.Consult me for advice

Take Sulphur 0/2 daily in morning and evening for 5 days. It will be reduced and then gone. It will start healing from the first dose itself. Take care. :)
