About Tazloc-Ct 40 Tablet

Tazloc tablet belongs to a family of drugs that are used to treat high blood pressure and is composed of Telmisartan and Chlorthalidone. The regular recommended dosage of this drug is 40 mg tablet if taken once a day. The doctor might increase the dosage to 80 mg, if you suffer from serious conditions of the heart. It is important to continue taking this medication according to the doctor’s prescription, until you have completed the course. You should not skip out on a dose, and if you do forget, do not take an extra dose to make up for it.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid consuming this drug. If you have an allergic reaction to this medication, it is advisable to discontinue the usage of this medicine and contact your doctor immediately. This drug interacts with other medications as well as alcohol, in a negative way.     How does this medication work?

    This medication is composed of Telmisartan and Chlorthalidone. Telmisartan displaces angiotensin II with very high affinity from its binding site at the AT1 receptor subtype. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that is used to treat hypertension. Due to the sodium and chloride symporter inhibition, as a result of the drug use, the elements do not get reabsorbed in the blood stream.
