Foristal 1Mg Tablet

This tablet is a second generation anti-histamine (H1) drug, is used for patients with ocular allergies, rhinitis, urticaria, pruritus, allergic conjunctivitis, allergic dermatitis and angioedema. The drug selectively blocks the histamine receptors (H1) within the brain and peripheral tissues and this in turn blocks allergic symptoms. The medicine has mild serotonin antagonist and anti-muscarinic activity.

The tablet may interact with aminoglycosides, analgesics, atropine, sedating anti-histamines, other sedatives, tricyclic anti-depressants, hypnotics, neuroleptics, MAOIs and anti-muscarinic drugs. Intake of alcohol along with this tablet may impair its metabolism, resulting in worse adverse effects and hence should be avoided.
