About Cliface Gel

This is a combination gel which has Clindamycin and Nicotinamide as active ingredients. It is an antibiotic. This gel is used to treat numerous bacterial infections like acne, pneumonia, strep throat. Also, pelvic inflammatory disease, middle ear infections, bone or joint infections.

This gel belongs to a lincosamide class of antibiotics. It works by blocking bacteria from synthesizing protein. This drug should be used to treat bacterial infections only and not against viruses, such as for common cold or flu.

    How does this medication work?

    This gel belongs to the class lincosamide. It works by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria. Nicotinamide This salt is ingested in food and utilized by animal tissues. After the separation of the co-enzymes nicotinamide is almost absorbed by the small intestine. A portion of it is stored in the liver. The primary function of this salt is DNA repair, cellular energy metabolism, and regulation of the transcription process.

        Ethinyl Estradiol

        Avoid cholera vaccine if the patient has taken Cliface Gel within 14 days before vaccination. Usage of other antibiotics and vaccines should be reported to the doctor.
