The Bone Marrow Trephine Biopsy lab test is used to measure the level of bone marrow in the patient’s body. A sample of the patient’s bone marrow is used to conduct the test. The test is performed in order to confirm disorders of bone marrow due to diseases like Anemia, Leukemia, Lymphoma, Metastases, Multiple Myeloma, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms and Tuberculosis. The test gives useful insights on hematopoiesis, which is obtained by examining the source of blood cells in in the bone marrow.
