The desire to have your own child is very strong. Women get married late. By that time it may be very late to for ivf with your own oocyte. Donor eggs may be needed.

In certain cases even a young girl may have very poor ovarian reserve or poor capacity to make eggs. This can be found out by high hormone levels of hormones like fsh & low levels of amh. Also ultrasound shows very low number of follicles.

In both of the above situations donor eggs are needed. In this case egg donor is chosen having same blood group as recepient. Also physical characteristics are noted and matched with recepient. Basic blood investigations are done along with hormonal tests. After initial work up injections are started to make multiple follicles. These are then adpirated & eggs are identified. These are fertilised with husband's semen.
The resulting embryos are transferred in the recipient after seeing the endometrium. This is then supported with hormones.
