Mental health is nothing but ability to control our mind by ourselves, and ability to control our senses.

Mind is compared to air. As it is difficult to control air, in the same way it is very difficult to control our mind. Our breath represents the air. If we are able to have control over our breath, then definitely we can control our mind. Hence regularly practicing breathing exercises will boost our mental health.
