A good healthy diet for a diabetic patient should be low in simple carbs like white rice, white bread, sugar etc instead take foods rich in complex carbs such as brown rice, multigrain atta, brown bread etc, include low to moderate glycemic index foods in daily diet. Avoid highly processed foods, red meat, egg yolks etc, do regular exercise like jogging, brisk walking etc have good fats especially polyunsaturated and monounsaturated foods rather than saturated fats like ghee, butter etc in excess amounts, don't take long hours of diet gaps in diabetes, keep yourself stress-free.
