3 Hair Care Legends Disclosed!
Hair is a part of our body that constitute much to our overall looks and beauty. A beautiful mane of hair is called crowning glory not without any reason. Your entire make up, great dressing would be in vain if you have unruly, unhealthy hair or thinning, balding hair. Hence it is important to take care of your tresses while you still have the opportunity. Just make sure you do not fall for the many hair care legends that are nothing but just that, Legend. Following these legends would not only help in no way to keep your hair healthy but would affect adversely.
The Hair Care Legends are as given below:
- Trimming your hair every three months would help grow hair – this is possibly the biggest myth. Of course trimming your hair after every few months would keep your hair looking good but it would no more aid in hair growth that pulling your hair would. The reason is simple and logical. Your hair grows from the roots and not from the end and hence trimming or not trimming would not have any effects whatsoever on hair growth.
- Oiling your hair would make hair stronger, healthier and shinier – oil too has no effects whatsoever on your hair. It however helps your scalp which in turns aids in healthy hair growth. Actually more than the oil what helps your scalp is the massaging; oil is used just to make it easier to massage the scalp. Massaging increases blood circulation to the roots with several benefits. Good blood circulation would enable healthy hair growth and eventually stronger hair. Oil itself is of no use to the hair since the scalp secrets the amount of oil it needs and any amount you add is only excess.
- Shampooing your hair frequently is bad – it is important to wash your scalp to keep it clean, like you do with every other parts of your body. It is of course unhealthy to use chemical based harsh shampoos frequently. Hence get a mild and herbal shampoo, if possible. You can use a baby shampoo too; the only agenda is to clean. Shampoos that promise hair growth, extra shine and such things are nothing but marketing gimmicks. The work of a shampoo is to clean your hair as well as scalp and hence make sure your shampoo is well up for the task.
