Cysticercosis antibodies (CSF) test is carried out to analyze the nervous system of a patient. When the patient is infected by the larval stage of pork tapeworm known as (Taenia solium) in clinical terms it causes neurocysticercosis. Major symptoms of this disease are epileptic seizures and convulsions. Treatments in the form of surgery, steroids and anti-parasite medicines are available for the disease. The disease is majorly found in countries where pigs are raised as a food source. The ELISA is a rapid test used for detecting and quantifying antibodies or antigens present in the brain of the patient.
