How to know that your teenager has PCOD?

The main cause behind PCOD is e imbalance in pituitary glands. A lot of girls have this abnormality where the hormone that is secreted by these glands, is imbalanced. An increased level of insulin that is secreted from the pancreas indicates this. When the luteinizing hormone (LH) levels of the hormones are very high, that is when you need to get her tested. First thing to do is get your LH levels checked after which, you are supposed to take that report to the gynecologist in case you see any abnormal readings.

The doctor will order some physical tests like ultrasound, blood pressure tests and blood tests. They might even ask for your family s medical history. Your menstrual cycles will be tracked, height and weight will be considered and the hormone levels will also be examined. Make sure that you always keep a track of your menstrual cycles in case you ever face any problems regarding the same. This makes it easier for your gynecologist to diagnose the problem.
