Nuts are also rich in vitamin E, which leads to the lowering of bad cholesterol in the system. Walnuts are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids that is great for your heart.

A recent study has proved that if you consume over four cups of green tea every day, then your chances of contracting cardiovascular diseases or suffering strokes are minimized by almost 20%. This is because green tea contains a class of antioxidants called catechins which work towards improving heart health.

Packaged versions of vegetable juices are usually filled to the brim with high quantities of salt, which may be detrimental to the maintenance of proper blood sugar levels in your body, caused due to a sodium imbalance. The best option would be to have the vegetables in their original form, in the form of salads or in cooked form. If you still wish to have juices, it is advisable that you make it yourself (without excess salts and preservatives).
