It is important that you let the body take care of the natural processes and not use artificial lubricants as the chemicals from these products can stay in your system and be a hindrance for conception.

It is very important that even before you become pregnant or start trying to conceive you should get into the habit of sleeping for at least 8 hours. If you are not into sleeping for more than 5 to 6 hours it may be detrimental to your baby's health once you conceive. Both before and after conception you would need to sleep for at least 8 hours a day to allow the body to heal and also allow unobstructed development of the baby.

Although mental health and conceiving don't seem to be related, studies have shown that women with a history of depression tend to have fertility problems. Thus it is very important that you do a mental health check-up before you start trying to conceive. In the case of issues, it is better that you see a psychiatrist or a therapist and ensure that the mental health issues are taken care of first before you even try to conceive. It is also important to ensure that anti-depressants that you take are compatible with being pregnant.
