Zandu Kesari Jivan Chyawanprash is enriched with Saffron and Asvagandha. Zandu Kesari Jivan Chyawanprash contains Amalaki (fresh) pulp, Kunkuma (Saffron), Asvagandha, Suksmaila (Elaichi), Lavanga, Marica, Sunthi, Jatiphala, Tvak, Tejapatra, Pippali, Goksura, Nagakesara, Musali, Vidanga , Atmagupta (Kauncha beej), Bala (beej), Vamsa (Vanshlochan), Godanti bhasma (A.F.I.-1), Mukta Sukti pisti (S.Y.S.), Abhraka bhasma (A.F.I.-1), Yasada bhasma (A.F.I.-1), Ghrta (Ghee), and Iksu (Sarkara).

Saffron is an antioxidant that clears out excess oxygen particles from the body.
Asvagandha is also added to the Zandu Chyawanprash supplement as an anti-inflammatory agent. It also increases the body antioxidant levels and restores immune system by producing added immunity cells.
Zandu Kesari Jivan Chyawanprash revitalises the body and allows it to function well.

Direction for use:

Hello lybrate-user, In winters having 1 tablespoon (for adults) of chyawanprash with luke warm water and/or milk. All age group can have chyawanprash (only except babies of 6 months- 18 months). 1/2 tsp for babies 18 months to 2 yrs, 1 tsp for 2 to 5 years kids, 1/2 tablespoon for 5 to 16 years of children 1 tablespoon 16 to 60/65 years of adults For adults above 65 yrs, better to give them 1 tsp of it daily in winters. Any supplement that you take, you need to understand do you have that good digestive to assimilate it. Otherwise it’s of no use. Follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa etc. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 9. Drink lot of water.10. Everyday preferably sleep on same time exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, swimming, gym etc.Till lock down do suryanamaskar every day. for more details, you can consult me.

Chyawanprash is a better option. However, the healthy way of putting on weight is good diet and exercise. Now, you should focus on what you are eating. Increase your protein intake and good fats. Avoid fried foods and sweets. Take more protein rich foods such as eggs, fish, lean meat, soya chunks, paneer, curds. You should aim at increasing weight through proper diet rich in multiple sources of protein, complex carbs, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. You should consult a health coach/nutritionist for getting a proper advise on how to increase your weight in the right way. The weight increasing supplements that are usually marketed on tv and media have lot of carbs and sugars, which increase your weight by the way of increasing your fat percentage, which is not the right thing to do.
