Supracal pro tablet contains Calcium citrate, boron, copper, manganese, silicon, zinc, Magnesium, and Vitamin D3.
Calcium is a mineral that is required for the formation of bones and maintaining them. Calcium is required to prevent breakage of bones. Calcium is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who do not get enough calcium from their diets. Vitamin D3 is used to treat low calcium levels and high phosphate levels. It helps the body to absorb more calcium from food and other dietary supplements.
Supracal pro tablets are indicated for Pregnancy and lactation, osteopenia, osteoporosis, arthritis and fractures . It can be used as a dietary supplement that provides extra calcium to the body.

Hi, Basically both the medicines contain calcium and Vit D. But Supracal contains minerals like magnesium and zinc along with calcium and Vit D. If your requirement is only calcium, then the generic medicine can be taken.

From past two months I wake up after 5 hours of sleep and after that unable to fall sleep again. I did various test Thyroid, creatine and sugar test all turn out to be normal. Currently I am taking supracal pro tablets. My doctor suggested me this as lifestyle disorder and prescribed Etizolam 0.5 mg and zincovit tablets however I don't want to take sleeping pills as I heard it had lots of side effects. Please advise.

Some tips for sound sleep and early awaking in morning follow advises given below: 1. Strict to sleep time schedule 2. Do regular physical activity, you can go for daily morning walk 3. Regular meditation/ yoga, it will help you alot 4. Avoid tea coffee after 7 pm 5. You can take bath at bedtime 6. Avoid daytime sleep 7. You can use alarm and gradually reduce your waking time by 15 minutes 8. Avoid watching TV and reading news paper at bedtime, you can listen some soft music Consult if symptom persist

I had regular period from 27 to 30 jan. Now since 3 days I had black vaginal discharge once or twice a day very small amount with lower abdominal pain. I am 41, veg, no smoke drink, no sex since few years. Taking vit d medicine for deficiency and ciplsr 20 for anxiety and started supracal pro tab please suggest wat it is related to?

My mother suffering Parkinson for over 5 years she was advised to take supracal which she took for some time but discontinued since for over 2 years now fearing side effects. Is supracal safe to take or can she take less dose of the same or any natural calcium enhancers. Please advise.

Dear lybrate-user, You may consider supracal or calcium supplement for your mother as per advise of your doctor. There is no contraindication from parkinsonism perspective unless she has contraindications underlying like for example calcium metabolism disorder etc.

Yes do not give her too much calcium. You may use one amla in any form either myrabba or juice or crushed nd dried in sunlight with salt daily as one amla is full of 1500 mg. Calcium which is the requirement of our body in one day.
