Preparation of Similac:-
1. Pour warm water into a baby bottle

Hello Doctors Team, My son having 5.5 months old and his weight is 8.4 kg and he is having his food as Mothers Milk with the addition of formula Milk (Similac 1 Advance ), now I would like to know like when we can start other foods and what kind of foods we can start and the schedule intervals. Better to suggest the way forward and what is your suggestion about COW MILK / Packet Milk for baby feeding? Thanking you in advance!

U may start now supplementary thin semi solids like suji kheer, khichadi, dal etc to start with any one item once in aday for 3-4 days gradually shifting to other items for about a month then different item twice in a day. Fuit may be given. Dairy/ cows milk can be given now. Continue breast feeding.

Mother?s milk is the best for child. Please share more details reg what health issues you are facing or show to a doctor immediately so that necessary diagnosis can be done. In the interim till you are able to show to a doctor you can consider giving lactogen 1. It has l.reuteri probiotic which helps in reducing the colic pain. However that would be a temporary solution till you share more details or show to a doctor so that right advice can be given.

Hi .my baby is 7 months old. He is on formula feed from birth. Now we r using similac iq+ stage 2.he is not accepting any semi solids. We are trying from a month .he is vomiting .and also he is not feeling hungry. He is even vomiting milk. And having motions 6 times a day some times loose watery some times normal. We used medication also but no use. Also another problem is we used diapers 24/7 due to which his skin got peeled off became red we are using rash cream. please tell which diapers to use because without that it's becoming difficult. Hello, Why not start with complimentary feeds ?Give the child clear liquid diet ,thick liquid diet.It will only help improve his health and immunity.Consult me online for the detailed diet chart.

Hello Doctors, My son born on 10th APR-2016 with 1.96 KG with PRE-TERM (34 Weeks 6 days) and currently he is with weight of 3.8 Kg but he is continuously taking the FORMULA MILK (Similac Advance 1) only because my wife is not getting the breast milk like very rarely she can get breast milk and she is trying to give parallel but we are really worrying because as we are seeing through out the day he is feeding with formula milk only. Please suggest is there any harm? And what to do this conditions since if he is having hungry he will cry lot and after formula milk feeding he is OK. And he is more active like hitting through his legs and hands and keep on looking the persons and laughing and responding if we tell some thing. Suggest please for the further way forward. Exclusive breast feeding up to 6 months of age is best. Since your wife has breast milk though rarely, she should continue breast feeding till her breast is emptied and then give top milk which should be kept ready before breast feed. Repeat it every time, she feeds baby. I am sure, breast milk shall be sufficiently produce after some time.
