Hi, nan pro 1 is safe to give, its better than cows milk, it can be given till 6 months of age, but breast milk is the best.

Try to start natural foods instead of artificial foods. Start seasonal fruits except apple which should be boiled. Start rice with doll and ghee etc. You can learn more from your peditaricin.

One way to avoid breasts feeding is to give children complan or horlicks or pediasure or any chocolate milkshake everytime they ask for milk. This way you stop breastfeeding and the child develops a taste for such supplements.

There is no kidney stone issues with nan pro and it is not possible or plausible for a one year old to get stones in kidney. You may be referring to some other condition kidney stones in children are far less common than in adults but they occur for the same reasons. Minerals form crystal deposits in the kidneys which grow into stones, most of which are about the size of a grain of sand.

A lactating mother should take wholesome diet containing dal, rice, Veges and Chappatis. Milk about 500 ml per day is good. Supplements are indicated only when mother is unable to eat the home food well. Additional protein supplement will do no harm. Drinking plenty of water will certainly help.
