Fungal diastase are used for the improvement in digestion of food. It is used as digestive aid in case of loss of appetite due to chronic illness, stomach fullness and indigestion. It is also used as replacement therapy in condition such as atrophic gastritis, gastric carcinoma, pernicious anemia and pancreatic insufficiency for the digestion of food and preventing flatulence.
