There are various factors responsible for toe nail pain such as: Trauma / injury / embedded object: One of the most typical reasons for toenail pain is a direct injury to the toenail. This could come from a heavy object falling on the toenail, or from stubbing your toe on a piece of furniture or other hard surface. Improperly fitting footwear can also cause injury to the toenail if worn repeatedly. When the toe box of your shoes is too narrow, the shoe has a tendency to rub against or place too much pressure on your toe when walking or running. High-heeled shoes with narrow toes, extremely stiff footwear like work boots, ski boots or cleats, and even the friction from running in ill-fitting sneakers can cause bruising and pain in your toenails. Wearing open-toed shoes or going barefoot can also expose your toes and toenails to painful injury. A splinter or small bit of debris can easily become lodged under the toenail, leading to pain and inflammation in the nail bed. Fungal infection: Fungal toenail infections are characterized by a nail that looks thickened, discolored, and/or crumbly. While the infection itself usually doesn't cause pain, the thickened nail can become painful when it rubs against the inside of your shoe during activity. Reducing the friction by smoothing down the thickened nail can help with the pain, but the underlying infection should also be treated. Delaying treatment of a fungal toenail infection can make treatment more difficult, and if the condition is ignored for too long, it could lead to loss of the toenail. Ingrown toenail: An ingrown toenail occurs when the sharp edge of your toenail becomes embedded or begins to grow into the soft skin on the side of the toenail. Ingrown toenails can be caused by cutting the toenail incorrectly or from wearing tight shoes that press the nail into the skin. The result is painful swelling and inflammation at the point of contact between nail and skin. The pain is usually more pronounced when pressure is placed on the area. Uncommon causes: Nail pain can also be caused by less common factors such as melanoma, psoriasis, and cysts or tumors under the nail. Most of these are accompanied by toenail discoloration, so if you notice an unusual color or hue on your nail or the skin surrounding it, that's a sure sign that you should have your toe checked out by a professional.

Can I use hydrogen peroxide to whiten my teeth or soften the tartars? Please suggest me.

Can I use hydrogen peroxide to whiten my teeth or soften the tartars? Please suggest me.
Cause of discoloration ? smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc.) genetics. You may have a yellow bacterial film called ?plaque? that occurs naturally in mouth that can build up. If not removed it hardens to form tartar. Advise deep cleaning, polishing, whitening (bleaching) procedures, artificial enamel filling or capping. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.
