Information about Feron Tablet

Feron tablet is Nutritional supplement which contains Elemental Iron and Folic Acid.

Role of key ingredients:-
Elemental Iron is source of iron,Iron transports oxygen throughout the body and maintains red blood cells, thus making an individual feel energetic and preventing anemia.
Folic acid is essential to numerous bodily functions ranging from nucleotide biosynthesis to the remethylation of homocysteine. It is especially important during periods of rapid cell division and growth. Both children and adults require folic acid to produce healthy red blood cells and prevent anemia.

Feron tablet used in the treatment:-
Nutritional deficiency anemia during pregnancy
General weakness
Iron deficiency anaemia

Direction for use:-
Feron tablet can be taken orally with water, after meals.

Use under medical supervision.

After CABG I had pleural effusion on the left side of my chest. All tests including Quanty feron gold test and biopsy on the left inside of the chest showed negative results for TB. Now I am having ankylosing Spondylitis for which biologic injection Scapho is being given. Since my Mantoux test was positive, on the suspicion that I may be having latent TB, I was asked to take R Cinex 300/600 tablets for 4 months. I have taken RCinex for 2 months and thereafter because of stomach trouble I switched over to Isoniazid 300 tablets and took them for 4 months. Is this medication sufficient for the latent TB and can I stop the medication now. In 2002 because of eridocyclitis in the eye on suspicion of having TB I had taken full course of TB medicine ie. AKT4 for 9 months. Please advise. Thanks.

Firstly we should confirm the current status with a fresh Xray chest and Get your blood checked for CBC Esr HLAB27 and follow up with reports for further guidance.

I have taken RCinex 300/600 tablets for 2 months and thereafter isoniazid 300 tablets for 4 months because of suspected latent TB in view of the Mantoux test being positive though Quanty feron gold test was negative. Kindly tell whether the treatment I have taken is sufficient for Latent TB.

In India 60 percent of population maybe mantoux positive. Latent TB is generally treated in western countries.

Sir I having back pain for six months and went to ortho doctor they asked to take scan and said it is normal and said it is mild disc bulge and do exercise and I followed it but my pain did not go off .i had a occupation to deal with many tb patients so I thought I would have infected so in self I got tb gold feron test and it shows positive 6 iu/ml .now I came to know it is latent tb which is not giving any problems except back pain and I feel very tired in evening my doubt whether there is treatment for latent tb or not. Whether we should take medicines for latent tb for controlling it not to become active tb. Treatment is there for latent tb.

Scan means what? Whether this is an mri scan or ct scan. I feel it would be mri scan only. See, tb gold interferon is a sensitive test but not 100% specific. It means that in few healthy patients this test may be positive. So don't worry. It does not need any treatment if your mri scan doesnot show tb. For further assistance, you may get cbc, esr,crph done. Now let's talk about your pain .if you have mild disc bulge then avoid back flexion exercise. Do back strengthening and back extension exercise only.

If a person got tuberculosis and take complete treatment and feeling completely well then tb skin test and tb feron blood test both will always positive. Then it means that tuberculosis never goes. It will always remain and can be active any time and any part of the body. Am I right? Please tell me.

This shows latent TB and can become active if immunity decreases in future but happen only in about 3 %

Hello, Before few years I had genital tuberculosis but after 6 months treatment I was feeling completely well. Nowadays I am feeling pain in my right lower abdomen and a slow fever also. My tb Feron blood test report and mantoux test reports are now positive. Then what does it mean? Is it tuberculosis again?

These both tests will be positive through out your life Record fever, weight and appetide and get ultrasound and haemogram done to know cause.
