Ever since I can remember, I've had a raised mole on my labia majora. It is Brown on the edges and black towards the top. About the size of a half of a pencil eraser. It sometimes gets very itchy. Could this be cancer?

Hello. There are around 5-6 criterias which we consider when we talk about a pre existing mole or birthmark becoming cancerous or something to be worried about. If you are saying its persistent since last few years, then there is less to worry. But keep observing it for change in colour, margins, discharges or any peculiar sensations. If you are finding it doubtful then do send me a picture by text for further clarification. Thank u.

I have some small and medium scars on my forearms and legs. They are flat old scars. I have been using glyceric acid cream (12%) and eraser ayurvedic cream. But there has not been any improvement, especially on forearms. The scars are dark brown in colour. I have also tried hydroquinone cream which was recommended to me by a dermatologist. However, there has not been any change on the appearance of scars. What would be the best treatment. I am concerned aesthetically as I am a woman. I have also tried home remedies like applying lemon peen and aloe vera sap.

Hello lybrate-user I completely understand your concern. Scars can be very frustrating specially in the exposed areas. Scars are of different types and according to the type they can be easy/difficult to treat. So I need to see your scars first and then suggest the appropriate treatment. You can consult me online for that. Mean while you can use any Vitamin E based cream for the scars and use a sunscreen regularly. Take care :)

Clipping your hair using scissors is the best way as skin is very delicate and sensitive. Using chemical preparations over a long time may cause problems later.

Dark circles: these are the most common. Despite our best efforts, they are difficult to cover up and even more difficult to get rid of. They are like a constant companion often making you look older, tired, depressed or even ill. Let? s look at some of the reasons for dark circles. The skin under your eyes is many times thinner than the skin on the rest of the face, thus making it extremely delicate. The capillaries under the skin around our eyes are so small that many a times, the blood cells entering them leak into the surrounding skin lack of proper nutrition, deficiency of vitamins and minerals is also a major reason for dark circles to appear? make sure your diet is well balanced and nutritious. Eat foods that are rich in vitamins and iron. Include fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily diet? reduce stress and combat fatigue. Sleep well. Wearing sun glasses is important for protection of the delicate under eye area. A good pair of shades will not only protect from harmful sun rays, they will also keep you from squinting out the sun? home remedies-tomato juice mixed with a few drops of lemon juice is known to lighten dark areas around the eyes? cotton balls dipped in chilled rose water can help in cooling the eyes and reducing stress thus lightening dark circles. Almond oil or a paste of milk and almonds applied under the eyes regularly will reduce the darkness. So will cucumber slices and tea bags any queries inform me.
