Hello lybrate-user! Rauwolfia serpentina is given for high blood pressure. It is taken orally 10-15 drops diluting in 30 ml of water 3 times in a day. Nasal congestion has so many causes like allergic rhinitis (allergic sneezing one after another, sinusitis, nasal polyp. But rauwolfia does not cause nasal congestion. My BP is around 145/90 for around 2 years. Now I am experiencing occipital heaviness. Sometimes BP comes down to 135/90 and sometimes BP rises to 150/90while taking medicines like rauwolfia serpentina. I have tested ecg, lipid profile, kft etc which becomes normal. How long rauwolfia serpentina takes to reduce to normal range.

The dose of raowolfia is very high and take not more than 10 drops twice daily and taper off the dose as your BP improves. Your are also advised consult a cardiologist for your full cardiac check up and assesment.

While using computer for long time every person fail to blink the eyes. So only way to overcome is Use Dim light in laptop or black background in screen. Try to blink for one minute for every 15 minutes if you are so busy. else try to create the habit of blinking eyes very often. Have More Food which are rich in VIT A and D.
