You can do the following to ease the symptoms of psoriasis 1. Prevent dry skin use a humidifier to keep the air in your home or office moist. This can help prevent dry skin before it starts. Sensitive skin moisturizers are also great at keeping your skin supple and preventing plaques from forming. 2. Avoid fragrances most soaps and perfumes have dyes and other chemicals in them that may irritate your skin. They can make you smell great, but they also can inflame psoriasis. 3. Eat healthfully diet may play a role in managing psoriasis. Eliminating red meat and fatty snacks may help reduce flare-ups triggered by such foods. Cold water fish, seeds, nuts, and omega-3 fatty acids are known for their ability to reduce inflammation. 4. Soak your body hot water may be an irritant for your skin. However, a lukewarm bath can soothe the itching and infiltrate scales and plaques. Moisturize immediately after your bath for double benefits. 5. Reduce stress any chronic condition like psoriasis can be a source of stress. This can often turn into a vicious cycle because stress itself can worsen psoriasis symptoms. In addition to reducing stress whenever possible, consider incorporating stress-reducing practices such as yoga and meditation. 6. Avoid alcohol alcohol is a trigger for many people who have psoriasis. 7. Stop smoking avoid tobacco. Smoking may increase your risk of psoriasis. If you already have psoriasis, it can also make your symptoms more severe. For this homeopathic treatment is very effective for more details you can consult me.

Hi, I have dandruff and acne, scars on my face. Acne is puss filled and of a substantial size also. I visited a derma a month ago, and she prescribed a shampoo for dandruff that did not work. Post 3 weeks, on follow up, she prescribed a ionax t (shampoo with coal tar). Now coal tar has carcinogenic components in it. Am I at a risk? She also gave me a photostatic (emulsion) sunscreen for my skin but it contains parabens. I feel that she has given me products that contain ingredients that might cause other life threatening diseases to me? Kindly tell me what to do! Apart from the above medications, im also, alternating between a spot corrector nd a scar removing cream at night, with some tablets for acne scars, a lotion to be applied at scalp on dandruff areas. Also, keracnyl pp cream during the day after using the ridacne facewash. Kindly guide me through. I have curly hair, and have developed 3-6 grey strands when she first gave me the shampoo (1st meeting). Thank you.

dear Vidhu, seems you have read quite a lot about the medications you are applying. although tar is carcinogenic but application of small amounts in the scalp is not particularly as hazardous. so you might safely use it without any worries. ofcourse with sunscreens since you have acne you need to apply a non comedogenic one.(which is less greasy). the parabens are the preservatives used in the sunscreen which help avaoid the degradation of the product for long term use. As long as you are not allergic to parabens they are safe to be used . there are a few general practices and life style modifications which you should incorporate like avoiding hair oil; greasy products, avoid stress, managing diet and compliance with medications. hope that helps

Wash the affected skin two to three times a day. Keep the affected area dry. Avoid excess affected skin irritation by wearing 100% cotton underwear. Avoid fabric softeners, bleaches, or harsh laundry detergents. Wash your workout clothes, underwear, socks, and towels after each use. Keep your affected area, inner thighs, and buttocks clean and dry, especially after you exercise and shower. After showering or bathing, dry the irritated affected area by gently patting it with a towel. Be sure to dry your skin thoroughly. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in two cups of warm water. Wash the infected area with this solution and allow it to dry on its own. Another option is to apply a mixture of equal parts of white vinegar and coconut oil on the affected skin. Like hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol can help kill off the fungus that's on the surface level of the skin. You can apply it directly to the affected area listerine: it has antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial properties, which help treat skin problem.
