If symptoms are sneezing, running nose, blocked nose 1. Take proper rest/ lot of fluids 2. Take proper home made diet. 3. Steam inhalation carefully by steam inhaler twice a day for 2-3 days frequent/ continuous cough cold may be because of many reasons like: 1. Any ent problem like dns polyp sinusitis 2. Low immunity 3. I was inhaling steam for more than 15 days due to this pandemic without any symptoms after few days I started to have itchy throat and chest discomfort .is it due to excess steam inhalation? Does excess steam inhalation cause any problem?

Hello lybrate-user, steam inhalation helps clear the mucus in the airways and that's why estimated as the best home remedy to treat common cold and respiratory infections. Coming to your question, steam inhalation with careful precautions, dialy for 10 to 15 minutes, 2 times a day is good for your airways. Remember the fumes should not be hot but warm in temperature. In that way you can avoid getting sore throat etc. Take strepsils or cofsils for itchy throat for now and stop steam inhalation for a day or two. If not resolved, feel free to message me in private.

Steam inhalation can help only in soothening airways. Can take steam with vaporizer 2-3 times per day.

Can duolin LD respules solution be used while taking steam. Can this solution be added to water and take steam of this.

DuolinLD respules need to be taken during nebulisation without mixing it with water and not to be used for external steam purposes
