Hi, my 5&1/2 month old one has not done poo since last 8 days and is irritated since last two days. I have given him colic aid but looks like of no help. His stomach looks tight. Your child needs more fluids and roughage in his diet. Ripe papaya/ stew / mashed boiled spinach to be introduced. Now give Nulax 2.5 ml daily for 3 days

The approximate daily dose of vit. D for children between is 600 i.u. Since vit d is fat soluble vitamin and gets stored in body. Proper dosage is to be decided by child specialist after proper examination. Normally children are given vit d in the form of oral drops. Sachets of 60,000 iu are given in adults after finding vit d levels in the blood. And only if found necessary.
