अॅलेग्रा-एम टॅब्लेट (Allegra-M Tablet)

एलीग्राचा वापर बहुधा एलर्जी आणि गवत ताप किंवा एलर्जीक ऱ्हिनाटीस चा उपचार करण्यासाठी केला जातो. हे औषध ल्युकोटाईन रिसेप्टर इनहिबिटरच्या प्रकारात येते, म्हणजेच ते दमा आणि एलर्जीची लक्षणे कमी करून कार्य करतात. या औषधाचा डोस एक रुग्ण ते रुग्णावर अवलंबून असू शकतो, परंतु सर्वात सामान्यपणे निर्धारित डोस 10 मिग्रॅ असते आणि लक्षणे कमी होईपर्यंत हे दिवसातून एकदा घेतले जाते.

The medicine is a combination of two drugs: Montelukast and Fexofenadine. The former is a leukotriene antagonist, which works by blocking the action of leukotriene (chemical messengers). This leads to reduction of swelling/inflammation in the airways passage and nose and also improves the symptoms. Whereas the Fexofenadine is an anti-allergic, works by blocking the action of Histamine, which is another chemical messenger responsible for watery eyes, runny nose and sneezing.
