Mr. Lybrate-user, tagara, is supposed to be helping in calming down the mind and also inducing sleep. It seems to be fairly safe, from various reports that are published. But my advise is better not to go in for any medication for sleep induction. If one exercises regularly for over 1 hour a day, maintains blood glucose levels well with in normal limits, practices pranayam and simple relaxation techniques, then there is no need for such medications. Thanks.

Have a habit of sleeping before 10 pm. No tv after 7 pm. Apply ghee on foot & palm soles while sleeping. Have sweetened warm milk with jaiphal while sleeping. Sleep in a dark environment.
Orally take tablet tagara while sleeping.

Insomnia may cause complications. There are a few steps to get good sleep. Please follow
1. Have a good shower bath before sleep
2. Listen to soothing music while sleeping. Indian classical raaga malkauns in slow pace is very effective
3. You can also have ayurveda herbs like shankhapushpi, tagara and jatamaansi for better results

Kindly get yourself checked for diabetes and hypertension so get your blood sugar levels and your blood pressure regularly.
If any problem occurs - get the desired treatment. If everything is normal - start the follwoing treatment
1. Capsules -24 one capsule once a day at night with milk
2. Ashwagandha pak 1 tsf with milk twice a day.
3 cap. Tagara - one at only nights with water continue with the given treatment for 2 months and then tell.

Let us first find out what is the reason for your sleep problem. It could be anxiety, worry, stress or depression. Other reasons like poor sleep hygiene also could be the cause.
