Siloil 1300 Injection belongs to a group of polymeric organosilico compounds, which are popularly known as silicones. It is freely available, and is often used as over-the-counter medication for combating flatulence. It works as an antifoaming agent, and thereby helps in the expulsion of gas. It is used for infants, to relieve the discomfort caused by swallowing air or by the intake of certain foods. It is available in the form of capsules, chewable tablets and liquids (to be taken orally).
