Pause MF Tablet acts on an enzyme plasmin which is primarily responsible for the dissolution of clots. It binds to the plasmin receptors and preserves the clot formed. It also blocks the action of Cyclooxygenase (COX) which is involved in the production of Prostaglandins. Your body produces prostaglandins as a retort to certain diseases and injury. Mefenamic acid works by preventing the production of prostaglandins and thereby reduces pain and inflammation.
