About Meva Capsule SR

This medication helps treat symptoms of intestinal disorders and irritable bowel problems, such as spastic colitis, spastic constipation, colon irritation, abdominal pain and cramps, flatulence, nonspecific diarrhea, and mucous colitis.

The drug belongs to the group of medication called antispasmodics. It helps relax intestinal muscles, which in turn reduces pain and irritability.

The drug can only be prescribed to children below the age of 10 if absolutely necessary. The drug is meant for oral consumption and should be taken about half an hour before a meal. Regular use of this medication makes it more effective.
