About Mego 500 MCG Injection

Mego 500 MCG Injection is composed of Vitamin B12 which is one of the most important nutrients required by the human body. A lack of this vitamin can cause severe and permanent neurological damage. This medication is used by people of all ages suffering from gut disease where they are unable to completely absorb vitamin and have risk of vitamin B12 deficiency. This medication is water soluble and contains pure form of vitamin B12. It plays a key role in the functioning of the brain and nervous system and in the formation of the red blood cells, other than this, it is responsible for the protection and regeneration of neurons. Lack of vitamin B12 causes depression (the reasons not clear why). Hence, the medication comes into use when you have low levels of vitamin B12 in your body, causing you to feel weak, fatigued and experience slow thinking. This condition is called pernicious anaemia. Low level of folic acid and vitamin B12 go hand in hand. Mego 500 MCG Injection is also given to regulate multiplication of cell, formation of blood and synthesis of protein.

    Mego 500 MCG Injection acts as a cofactor for enzyme methionine synthase, which transfers methyl groups for the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine. In anemia, it increases blood cell production by promoting nucleic acid synthesis in the bone marrow and by promoting maturation and division of erythrocytes.
