This is a drug of antihistamine nature. It can also be termed as an anti-vertigo, central nervous system depressant or an anticholinergic drug. It can be used to treat patients suffering motion sickness especially with the symptoms of gastric pain, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and headaches. It may interfere with natural lactation and therefore it is not recommended for breastfeeding mothers. While the exact mechanism of action of this medicine is not known it is believed that its anticholinergic properties are responsible for the antiemetic and anti-vertigo effects

This medicine is contraindicated in patients who have suffered or are suffering from Reye’s syndrome, closed-angle glaucoma, gastrointestinal obstruction, Prostatic hyperplasia and hypersensitivity to this drug.
