Accumulation of cells, due to an abnormal growth of a type of cell which helps to form cartilage, result in a rare kind of cancer known as Chondrosarcoma. The root cause of this illness is not known. It affects the bones and joints of a person suffering from this condition. Although the person does not feel sick, he/she suffers from pain, swelling and restrictions of motion. Ollier's disease, Wilms tumor, Paget's disease and Maffucci syndrome are the various conditions which accelerate the risk of getting Chondrosarcoma in a person.
HOW IS CHONDROSARCOMA DIAGNOSED?
Most of the time, a person suffering from Chondrosarcoma is unaware about the tumor, until they experience pain or notice a lump.
