About Mono Test (Infectious Mononucleosis) Test

The Mono-Test- Infectious-Mononucleosis is often used to test for Epstine-Barr virus which is highly
infectious; this test is carried out to look for the presence of heterophile antibodies in your blood. As
your body combats the virus, it starts producing antibodies and this test is used to determine the
presence of the same in your blood which indicates that you do indeed have mono. If you find
yourself displaying some of the following symptoms, then you need to consult with your healthcare
worker right away.
Some of the symptoms associated with early onset of Mono, are –
Fever
Sore throat
Chills
Headache
Swollen glands
Stomach pain
Soreness in and around your abdomen
Rash
