About Culture and Sensitivity - Drain Fluid Test

Culture and sensitivity drain fluid test measures the level or amount of the pathogenic organism present in the drain fluid undergoing a culture. The sample here is the drain fluid. The test is a confirmatory test to detect the presence of Abnormal Abdominal Fluid that gets collected in the body. The test is used during the treatment and post the treatment. It is also known as C/S Anaerobic Drain Fluid. Studies and cases show that radiological imaging is a standard way or should be used as a standard method to assess deep tissue infections within patients who suffer from drainage catheters. An effective method to obtain specimen for culture is a direct approach of aspiration towards collections of fluids that get affected on a large scale.
