দীর্ঘস্থায়ী বাধাজনিত পালমোনারি রোগের চিকিত্সার ক্ষেত্রে এই ওষুধ ব্যবহৃত হয়- সিওপিডি / COPD (যার মধ্যে শ্বাসকষ্ট, হুইজিং অ্যাপনিয়া অন্তর্ভুক্ত) এবং হাঁপানি রয়েছে। সাধারণত সংকীর্ণ এয়ারওয়েজ বা বায়ু চলাচলের পথ, ফুসফুসের প্রদাহ এবং অন্যান্য এই ধরনের অসুস্থতার সাথে সম্পর্কিত অবস্থার চিকিৎসার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি ব্রঞ্চিয়াল টিউবগুলির মসৃণ পেশীগুলিকে শিথিল করে, এটি শ্বাসকষ্ট বা শ্বাসকষ্টের তীব্রতা তীব্রতর করে বা সংকোচন করে দেয়।

নিবুলাইজারের দ্বারা ওষুধটি মুখের মাধ্যমে দেওয়া হয়। সাধারণ পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়াগুলির মধ্যে হাত, ডায়রিয়া, কাঁপুনি, বমি এবং হাইপোক্যালেমিয়া অন্তর্ভুক্ত।

এটি একটি বিটা -২ অ্যাড্রি‌নার্জি‌ক রিসেপটর হিসাবে কাজ করে যার ফলে চক্রীয় এএমপি / AMP বৃদ্ধি ঘটে, বর্ধিত এএমপি প্রোটিন কাইনেজের সক্রিয়করণের দিকে পরিচালিত করে যা আবার মায়োসিনের ফসফোরাইলেশন প্রতিরোধ করে, এই সমস্তগুলি ব্রঙ্কিয়াল নলগুলির পেশীগুলিকে আরাম প্রদান করতে সহায়তা করে।

Aerocort Inhaler can be defined as a bronchodilator that is useful for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works as a β2 andrenergic receptor that results in increase of cyclic AMP. Increased AMP leads to activation of protein kinase A which again prevents phosphorylation of myosin. All this mechanism leads to relaxation of smooth muscles.
